Meet our Ministers

Chuck Hochmuth

Senior Minister
]Chuck and his wife, Dee, have served with LCOC since July of 1988. They have three adult children along with 6 adorable grandchildren. (They also have 3 grand-dogs!) Chuck's primary focus is on preaching and working with adult ministries of the church. This summer, after 45 years of ministry together, Chuck and Dee look forward to the next chapter God is writing into their lives.
"I am confident the best is yet to come for Lowell Church of Christ.
God is 'retooling' us for the next phase of ministry He has in store." ~Chuck

Matthew Shedd

Co-Minister
Matthew Shedd currently serves as the Co-Minister here at LCOC.  He joined the church in 2008, along with his wife Kylie. Since then, they have been blessed with three children.  In his free time, Matthew enjoys reading (especially ancient writings), playing chess (which he happily does poorly), and playing with his puppy, Hershey.

MISSY BYDALEK

HANNAH TROYER

Missy Bydalek serves at LCOC as Children's Minister. Her goal is to grow our Children's Ministry and lead our children to love Christ and become future leaders for Christ. She is excited to see where God leads this ministry.
Missy grew up in Northwest Indiana. She has been married to Jason Bydalek for 27 years. Together, they have two amazing children, Madison (Dan) Norris and Brandon Bydalek. While raising their children, Missy obtained her BS in Early Education and Youth Ministry from Liberty University. Missy and her family have attended LCOC since 2005.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking/baking, working in her flower beds, and playing with her two dogs, Bailey and Hershey.

Hannah Troyer currently serves with the Youth Ministry at LCOC and has been an active part of the church since she was in sixth grade. Over the years, she has grown connected to the church family. Hannah was recently married to her husband, Ezra Troyer, whom she met through running in college.

Having participated in youth ministry throughout both her middle school and high school years, Hannah brings a unique perspective shaped by firsthand experience as both a student and a leader (beginning in 2026). She is passionate about a wide range of interests, including crafting, running, baking, and coaching cross-country and track. Hannah also enjoys participating in mission trips with her family and values meaningful community and connection, which she hopes to share with the teens and students at the church.

Through these experiences, Hannah has consistently sought to use her gifts and interests to share the love of Christ and support others in their faith journeys. She is grateful for the opportunity and excited to step into this new chapter of serving as Youth Minister at Lowell, where she hopes to encourage growth, connection, and discipleship among the youth. Hannah strives to reach students where they are and is always searching for fun activities to share God’s word.
